Eleanor Duncker, a resident  of Sayville, NY, paints in an impressionist style with rich color.  She has studied at the Art Student’s league in New York City and with various American Watercolor Society teachers here and abroad. A workshop aboard a canal barge in Provence, France sparked her love for watercolor which continues unabated to this day.
Eleanor is a signature member of North East Watercolor Society. Her award winning works have been exhibited in the Salmagundi Club, NYC, Catherine Lorillard Wolfe International Exhibit, Heckscher Museum,  National Art League and numerous Long Island exhibitions. She was a finalist in the 2001 Artist’s Magazine Competition and had a solo exhibit at Cold Spring Harbor Arts Center and Gallery in 2005.  Her work is currently represented by Phoenix Fine Arts Gallery in Bellport, NY, where she also teaches classes in watercolor technique.

“I prefer painting with watercolor, inks and dyes because of their spontaneity and flow. They continuously challenge me in new directions  discovering  unique ways to render subjects.”
